Thanks alot for taking your time to check the list, i really appreciate this! ...
So you say it`s not really ´save´ to upload any of those titles except "the ape man" and "tarzan and the trappers" is that right?
You know i`m not the one who want to "jump on a tigers tail"

Re: another list of movies in question |
Sorry it has taken so long on this. Been really busy. Haven't even had tiome to look at IA much in the last few weeks.
Regards UK films: A lot of the major catalogue distributors (Carlton/Granada , Studio Canal, etc.) have major problems accepting the limitations of the US GATT/URAA restoration terms. As well as this, there are a number of aspects of the transitional sections in the 1988 and 1996 (extension) acts which effectively put most pre-1988 British films under the jurisdiction of the 1956 and 1911 Copyright Acts. So, many British films are still in the UK Public Domain. The rights companies do not accept this and, although many of the below films are technically PD, the rights companies would probably serve C&Ds for exploiting these "loopholes" in the law. And it can be argued that GATT protects the post-1945 films in US for the full US copyright term regardless of their status in their home state.
Tarzan and the Trappers (1958) is PD
Green for Danger (1946) Fall's under the transitional aspects of UK law. Technically PD. See above
