Apparently, the blog has disappeared, most likely due to copywrite violations.

I did find a lot of great GD shows posted there, but he did certainly post up whatever he wanted.

I imagine that there will be a resurfacing at some point, but I always felt that there was some serious breach of appropriate use.

Personally, I don't steal music. I do know of many folks that had used him as a library builder.

Not so fast...well, that is, if you don't mind...did I miss something? I recall a bit of bad back and forth, and perhaps that is all that motivates today's display, but above, was it actually your wording alone that set this off? I don't get it, if that's the case...now, of course, your pretentious prickness might go without saying, but it would seem a little more tangible evidence would be in order?

How come no one ever comments on my accomplisments with respect to "PP" abilities? Oh, well, I suppose that is what NC was on about way back when with his comments about my "smoking jacket" prose, but I think I like PP better...

Good day, good Tell - I was wondering when we'd have the benefit of a little prime ministerial input around here. No, I don't think you've missed much. One instance of poor 'voicing', a rushed on-the-fly intemperate response (but justified on reflection) and there you have it. These things happen around here and it's no big deal as far as I'm concerned.

Still, on the whole I'd have preferred pompous prick to pretentious (pretentious, moi?) - and anyway you can't be PP and PM, it would just confuse our little furry friends. (Don't you just love having an attack wolf on your side?)

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Ah yes--who wouldn't prefer pompous prickster over pretentious as the former stresses the achievement of said prickness with added delusions of grander prickness to be, while the latter implies striving while not necessarily achieving desired levels of prickyness...

You do know that was a complete joke, right? I just love "p" words...and, thinking about the diff's with pomp and pretense, blah, blah, blah...sorta like Dire thinking about soft fuzzy lambs vs coarse leathery calves or some such similar notion.

Yes, of course I did. Relax, oh venerable one. You don't want to give the young and foolish an excuse to mount a coup.

And if you're concerned about coarse leathery calves lay off the mountain biking for a while. Otherwise use moisturiser.

Because you're worth it.

Alternatively, I woulda mentioned in my latest PM related coup while vacationing in Munich, I negotiated a minimum allotment of: 1) ten daily "fuck yous"; 2) five annexations; 3) three outright hostile takeovers, and 4) one occasional rape of Belgium if absolutely necessary to your "right hook" strategum...all of these at Forum expense. Maybe I won't last much longer, eh?

Tell, old friend, if fuckyous were negotiable currency I'd be a lot less worried about things right now. Wish I'd picked up on your JGB thread earlier, I'd have liked to contribute. But its late here now and I'm tired. Maybe tomorrow. You take care now.

i thought the site was pretty decent - grabbed a few things here and there from it - certainly good enough quality downloads for use in an ipod imho :)

The fact that 90% of the files he had there skipped around like crazy when you tried to play them, makes it no big loss, IMHO... I have spent many many many $$$$ on GDP products and have no qualms abt the occasional free DL, but his were mostly worthless.

He had lots of pirated commercial releases up there too including the most of the Dead's 2009 spring tour. They also charged a fee, if you wanted to download a set in a reasonable time like we can do here for nothing. Any kind of money exchanges or advertising on the website is prohibited by the band's policy notes...

i believe the fee was only related to rapidshare - nothing to do with JollyJoker. many many people and sites use rapidshare - i always found the free use (slow) just fine for what i needed.
