Forum: web Subject: How can I get a copy of my site that is archived here?
I just found out that my website was shot down by Geocities on october 26. I wasn't aware of the closure.

I don't understand much how your system works but I found a link to your site when I tried to visit my site.

I did find a copy of my site on yours. It's address was: http://www.geocities.com/bebe_rose_sabourin

How can I get it back? I don't have the documents to re-create it (it was built with pagebuilder, a free online tool... with lots of efforts). I tried to look in your forum and FAQ but can't find the answer... or I don't understand it (as you can see I'm French, I manage in English but a lots of the technicals words I don't understand. I'm no genius with computer either! :)

I have no idea how to copy it! PLEASE HELP ME!

Thanks to anyone who can help me!

I also just found out my Geocities website was deleted on Oct. 26, 2009. Mine is a genealogy website and I really hate losing all the information. Way Back does show my site but I need help in saving it somehow. I noticed not all pictures came through and I am also wondering if they are recoverable. My website was: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/4898.

I'll appreciate any help.

What you might do is use a Web crawler to download one of your archived sites. HarvestMan is a good one. I use wget, another good one. Point it to the index page, and it will download all of the linked pages and content underneath.
