The only connection I have is In-N-Out and the Grateful Dead are both famous Californians. I still can't determine if I am repulsed or impressed with this feat of strength:

wineland,

what is the secret burger you can order at In n Out that is not on the menu? I thought it was the "animal" but someone said it's called something else.

There are no secrets in california. In&Out is just a ploy on Southern California Minds of Hearing. No one in SoCal actually listens. Hence, In&Out with most the credit staying in the bedroom. The Grateful Dead is from the otherside of the border (north). Their ploy is Fan Based. So here Nobody goes again. http://www.archive.org/details/minutemen1984-12-01.mp3

Banana patch rustlers often recline in obtuse lawn chairs whilst masticating herbal coffee tables.

Sounds like the title to a Pink Floyd song from the late 60s.

good Floyd reference! When I was a young boy, I used to listen to that Floyd tune on my bro's LP over and over; I couldn't get over how different it was. Kind of in the category of Revolution #9 and some of the Satanic Majesties "songs" - the '67-'69 years generated alot of that lets-go-crazy-in-the-studio music. Come to think of it, Anthem of the Sun probably fits into this category as well.
