With regards to Miles's "Jack Johnson---the chord McLaughlin hits is an augmented 9 chord---which TREY uses
in the into to "Punch You In The Eye".

The augmented 9 chord, in the key of E, is the chord the ABB use in "Mountain Jam," and Hendrix uses it in "Purple Haze"

Just a thought from way back when.........
