please help....

trying to DL this audio compression tool.
disengaged Virus scan/protector as suggested on the website, then after trying DL I am prompted to run or save, after clicking run it warns me that "the publisher" cannot be verified, I aggree to continue and then a boz appears that reads..."mkwSFX has unpacked the set up file to your temp folder and launched set up, once set up completes click OK to remove the set up file to your temp folder" then another box appears on top of that one that has a huge red dot with an X in it with an OK button to click?

I've DL'd MKW on another computer with ease, don't know what the heck is going on???

Not sure why you started a new thread, you had another one going here:

http://www.archive.org/iathreads/post-view.php?id=30484

Anyway, make sure you are installing the program, and not the runtime libraries. Also regarding this:

"mkwSFX has unpacked the set up file to your temp folder and launched set up, once set up completes click OK to remove the set up file to your temp folder"

Don't click ok, if you wait, your screen should turn blue (or blueish-green - sorry, colorblind and can't tell what it is) and say "Welcome" with a "Next" button.

Sorry, was away from computers until now. Try this.

1. Right click on My Computer, select Properties.
2. Click on the Advanced tab.
3. Click on the Environment Variables button.
4. There are 2 entries for the "Temp" variable. (one for User and one for System) See where they point, then go find those folders and empty them (delete everything that is in them).
5. Run the mkwACT setup again.

I've cleared my TEMP folder and everything, but whats stopping me from starting the installshield is a message that says "C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application." There's a close and ignore button to choose from. Any idea how to make this stop?
