I was thinking that too ! The jam out of it is a little more involved that usual .
I thought the "Foolish Heart ", was pretty good also . I guess there is a little of the "Bruce" factor going on .

Bruce factor indeed. I just don't get how the 90's sucked crowd people can't hear how much inspired playing there was in 91.

I enjoy all periods of the Dead, and try to savor what is good with each period ; but I have to say I enjoy the , say pre 80's stuff , more, think it is "better," but would be missing lots of good stuff that is unique to those later periods .
It is sort of like some people only like the famous Dylan's 60's , albums ( usually throw in "Blood on the Tracks") . Yes, this was his best period, but you would also be missing some very worthwhile music ( Infidels, Oh Mercy, TOOM, for example ).

agreed. In my opinion musically the band was the best in the 70's. I think it's obvious that the mid 80's and the last few years were low points but there's still some great stuff in there too.I just happen to think 89-91 were very strong years for the band.

Indeed. I even like the Walkin blues from this show and I can't stand that song. The "they Love each other" is actually on the Video portion of Hornsby's Box set.

I didn't care for that song when I was seeing them play it - thought Bobby over played it - but I've grown a huge appreciation for it now. There are some real down and dirty nasty versions.

I think you weren't the only one let down by the '89 one - one of the reviewers speculates Bobby wasn't feeling well. The others are nice.
