File metadata XML invalid - typical causes |
The uploader was using some weird symbols for notes which was causing the failure. Here, I'll try pasting them and see if the forum can read them:
First one:
§
Second one:
ß
Pretty much any symbol not on the standard 104 key keyboard will cause this right now. Another common cause is an accent over the letter "e", like so:
Ren
è
-or-
Qu
ébec
The Breakfast has a song that uses that, so it was a rather common occurence for their uploads. Here's a few more I just found on a website:
Pi
ña
Fran
çois
Str
ômberg
Humleg
årdsgatan
æ
ø
ö
etc... This deserves an FAQ section, creating one now:
http://www.archive.org/about/faqs.php#221
Hopefully in the future this won't break metadata.
