archiving IA? IA's sneaky prevention? |
It seems that IA does not want people to easily archive parts of the site? I don't think its very honest to prevent others from easily archiving stuff from the archive. The archive adds this segment to the end of an html file on the site:

There's no unsavory intent there. That Javascript just instructs browsers to rewrite the links in pages retrieved from the Wayback Machine. Without that rewriting, clicks on links in Wayback-retrieved pages would direct browsers to the live web instead of other Wayback-stored pages.
