Brewster has posted on Etree explaining the recent slowness, especially for new uploads:

So basically, on Monday or Tuesday (if not before), there will be plenty of extra machines available, and audio51 should stop being so overstressed. Apologies if your files are on audio51.archive.org right now and there's a delay in accessing them.

My post said this week may be required, so setting hopes on monday or tuesday may be disappointing.

right, i uploaded a new release, it took several hours to import, this morning i hit 'approve' , got a message saying locating a server or somthing simmilar, then the process disappeared in about 10 seconds, and now the release is nowhere t be seen.

do i have to re-upload it, is it gone for good? or is it on it's way?

the release in question is hc146, if there's no sign of it i'll upload again tonight.
