There is of course Zwan. Riverview is an unreleased fav of me. Awesome bassline and old classic Billy Corgan soloing at the end. Jesus, I > God's Gonna Set This World on Fire is great, just sit thru most of Jesus, I before the good stuff begins (think Starla if you know that song). Mary Star of the Sea is incredible 10+ minute song. Spilled Milk riff that turned into a hard jam that goes nowhere to end a lot of shows.
I wish Queens Of The Stone Age was on here. The policy varies from show to show. I have friends that taped them with mic stands and have created multi-cam DVD's. Other shows they have to stealth. I think there days are done though. The new album pretty much sucks but it would be nice to hear the old stuff.

Dirty Sweet @ Porters Pub ... They have a little bit of a traditional rock and roll sound, read my review for a little more insite. You can also stream the show to hear it before downloading. Enjoy, sorry it is a little bass heavy.
Also good to hear and a little 'harder' is Scarlet Symphony .. they are a San Diego, CA based band that has some thrash / glam / rock / punk aspects to them .. really good stuff.. I recommend the Thursday Night Thing @ The Museum of Contemporary Art show .. it was my first time hearing them and even though there is a phase shift at the beggining of me moving farther from the speakers while taping, the show really rocks! if you get into them, try this rare acoustic show they did that still smokes! Live @ M-Theory Records ... enjoy! If I think of other rock bands, i'll post them.

first and foremost, i would like to thank you so very much for the work you apparently do here at archive in helping to maintain the message board, and in getting new music uploaded onto this brilliant site for me to download.
This site has, specifically because of the grateful dead shows, forever altered my music collection, but has also turned me on to quite a few new bands, i.e. - particle, ...and you will know us by the trail of the dead, just to name two, and has allowed me to relive, or hear for the first time music by old favorites, i.e - umphrey's mcgee, the butthole surfers, and the minutemen - i cannot tell you how pleased i was to find those guys up here.
That being said, the real reason i am replying to this post is to say to you, that if you can somehow work it out so that CLUTCH becomes part of the archive, i will formally propose marriage to you, because i love that band, their live shows are fantastic, and as the original seeder of this post observed, the archive could use a bit more of some hard(er) rock, or even heavy metal, and CLUTCH would be the perfect band with which to begin expanding such horizons here at archive.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amaizing work you and all your co-workers do in keeping this sit up to those of us who will remain forever loyal to it, and i am serious about the marriage proposal if you get Clutch up here.
thank you,
alexj
p.s. - while we're on the subject of harder rock bands, any chance you could contact the boys of PANTERA to see if they'd be willing to contribute their music to the archive, they seem like cool guys who would want their music out there for their fans. AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS WEBSITE.
