I always assumed the size of the file shown at the side under "Download Show: Lossless" was an automatically generated total of all the individual tracks. But I found, after a bit of calculator work, that the figure is usually, but not always, higher.

Am I missing out on something by always downloading the tracks individually? Or is there a bug in there?

Here are some recent examples:

Lossless 450.7M (files add up to 308.5M)

Lossless 828.8M (files add up to 577.7M)

Lossless 675.7M (files add up to 459.6M)

Lossless 718.0M (files add up to 493.6)

Lossless 799.5M (files add up to 536.7)

http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=29581
Lossless 197.7M (files add up to 138.1 ??)

Lossless 1.1G (files add up to 764.8)

Thanks for any explanations.

Thanks for the pointer, Diana.
Now I know not to trust those numbers.
It's a shame the servers are being filled up with unnecessary duplicates.

As far as I know there are no duplicates, that number is just reported wrong.
