I am having problems connecting to audio-uploads.archive.org. My FTP Client (Core FTP) keeps giving me an error when I try to connect. It says "Home Directory Not Available - aborting"

I have never had a problem in the past, but it has been a few months since I uploaded a show maybe somehting has changed in that time. Anbody know what is going on?

Can you log in to the website and click the link that says "Arrange An Upload" again? That should recreate your upload folder on audio-uploads. Let me know if that works.

I have had similar issues connecting to audio-uploads recently. Before approx one month ago I could use "Transmit" for Mac OSX to upload, but recently it has stopped allowing me in. I switched to the command-line interface but I sure would like to be able to drag-and-drop.

Does my UPLOADS directory need to be empty in order to rebuild it?

ps the same version of Transmit still lets me log into all the download servers, and functions normally logging into my own site. It just won't work on audio-uploads.archive.org. !?
thanks for all the help!

Brad Thanks for your help. I tried that and am still unable to get in. I also tried logging out, logging back in, and then going to the arrange an upload page and that failed also.

I sent an email to the admins, hopefully they can look at it today - if not you may have to wait a bit... Sorry for the trouble!

our audio-upload server is full.

space might not be able to be freed up
until our lead engineer on this is back.

(so it could be hours to a day or two).

sorry for inconvenience -- we appreciate your patience!

i haven't heard much from our engineer,
so i suspect this might not be fixed,
unfortunately, until monday or tuesday.

sorry about this -- i'm actually thinking there's
some kind of issue for some upload dirs
and complicated symbolic links "under the hood"
but the system is beyond me to fix until he's
back...

ok, i think it was indeed some symlink trickery
that didn't create the target directories.

i've created the missing dirs now.
can you try again now?

While I'm not the original person who found this problem, I did an upload to audio-uploads.archive.org between about noon and 4pm, and it worked fine. The show's now queued up for the MD5 check.

Aloha,
Brad
