1979-10-27 (Cape Cod Coliseum) 2nd set opened with Dancin' (yes, Dancin'!)> Franklin's = first time they ever performed the combo and it sounds from the transition that it was not pre-arranged (only did it twice after) Jerry jams after every first and then check out what happens after the last verse: they take off and seem to hit a plateau,Jerry gives the guys time to get back on the same page and then they go straight for the heavens -- I have yet been able to find a truly great mix but it is on the site.
Robert Hunter's "Box of Rain" cd -- completely different "feel" to the tune than Jerry's interpretation. --- has a "mysterious" quality to it and I believe it is worth the listen.

There's an excellent AUD of that show (better than the SBD) on this site, but be forewarned that the last time I DL'd it, there was a skipping problem during Jerry's final guitar outro that completely ruins the experience.
I don't know if this issue has been resolved or if it was just an error on my recordng end of things, but I would definitely at least try to get this version.
For Frankli's, i'm still partial to the killer version from the "One from the Vault" CD from their SF concert in 1975, but if you already have that try the 1977 Boston Garden show for an unreal Help-Slip-Franklin's.

6/26/84 - This one is real nasty Listen to the AUD copy http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=18748&from=otherCopy
8/21/83 - This whole show kicks butt as well, especially China/Rider http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=15358&from=otherCopy
9/20/90 - It was the second song they played that night, and they almost opened up with it. I don't think they ever opened up with Althea.
