Forum: etree Subject: great sounding aud. Dead shows?

i just listened to the 11/4/1977 show and loved the quality of the aud. recording. Can anyone give me some ideas/links of other aud recordings that sound this good? I guess I'm a SBD snob and didn't get to DL any when GD allowed you too.

A real good reference of Aud tapes is the "Grateful Dead Taping Compendium" volume 1,2, and 3 written by John Dwork and Michael getz. Check this out for in dept reviews and different sources and who the tapers were.

just put in the search box best aud dead and you will see this addressed multiple times-

i like 4/6/82 among many

you can also search- fob grateful dead or silberman

Mark McCue's Sennheiser's sources from 4/13/85, 4/14/85, 4/27/85, & 4/28/85 crush the boards from those dates!

What's the fuss about all these sterile SBD's that come out daily?
