Mine is Vegas too! First run at the Silver Bowl, my ex-wife and I were living in So Utah (still fairly newlyweds at that time) and ordered any avaiable tickets for the sat/sun shows and ended up with 1 saturday and 3 sunday. Thinking no problem, we trade a sun. for a sat. jackpot! OK, so we show up sat and there are literally thousands of people with no tickets and no one needs sundays (always my favorite day for the good ole Grateful Dead!). So, long story not quite so long... Sanatna has come and gone, I say you go in and have fun, she says no, for me to take it, we agree to pass it on and get our money back. She gets to pick who gets the ticket and we go set up camp on the leeward side of the stage (a little breezy that day). We're just hangin" waiting for the Dead when a BGP guy with that famous little satchel comes up to the fence and asks if we're going in to hear the show. I tell him the story of 1 ticket, no profit and he says "Come here, (and passes 2 tickets through the chainlink) and says you'd better hurry up and get inside, they're getting ready to come onstage right now! Woo Fucking Woo!!! We're running around the perimeter, and it's like a wave, all the ticketless heads sitting along the fence are standing up and clapping as we go by! Get inside and it just gets better, many friends from both of our GD families old new, forgotten and discovered and a hell of a show on top of it!

Footnote; That was the only time I thought I was going to not get in... There is a god, and I think his name was Uncle Bobo! The extra sunday tcket we had was given to a friend need...

Thanks for the memories...
