According to the Jam Handy production logs (also available here on archive.org) production was completed on November 17, 1958. So not quite 60s!

Probably a Vendo, it had the door that opened and you pull out the bottle. In that one there was only one or two Coke levels, also had NuGrape, among other things including the bottom two levels - one with Blatz the other Miller (or was it Stroh's?)
For a dime I could grab a nice cold Blatz to "refresh" between customers - even though I was only 16 - in those days people didn't care.
Nice shot of Hudson's Westland out in Livonia. Not quite as big or clean cut looking as the Northland and Eastland versions - but the same timeless architecture.
This film is very repetitive. Could have said the same thing in < 5min.

this was great! i enjoyed watching it. i laughed at the vendor machines, tho. i remember seeing one of those and thinking it came from like the 19th century hahaha!
and i wonder, did we teach Coke how we buy things or did Coke tell US how we buy things, because all their selling points were right on target! scary . . .

A good sales pitch for Vendo & Coke. A highly polished film. Must have been effective for its era.(Early 1960's)

Subject: Mid Century Modern Coke Machines
There's a lot to like here. The industrial designer is straight from central casting, a real mid-century classic. His mantra -- modern sells -- was in its heyday here (about 1960 I'd guess). These machines were everywhere in the 60's, so I guess he succeeded.
Compare this to the film Jam Handy did for Brunswick bowling equipment at about the same time (The Golden Years). Not as artistic (aside from those funky Coke truck driver uniforms), but just as polished, and there's no doubt about the message.

Who knew Coke had all the answers. This little film shows of the new product line of Coke vending machines. The ideology in this film if very post WWII. The film works around how to become the sleazy sales man and sell people vending machines they donÂt need. A second great Imagery is all the business leaders that the sales men pitch their wonderful vending machines, all white men. The value in this film is the quick sots of architecture, automobiles, 50Âs life style and the sexiest imagery.

Subject: A Vendo for all gas stations
Not sure what other folks think this is, but it's a promotional film from the Vendo Corporation (http://www.vendoco.com/home.php), at one time the largest manufacturer of drink vending machines and probably still are. The machines shown in this film are now sought after by collectors (I personally can't imagine collecting vending machines at 300 to 800lbs each) and worth a lot of money. (Just do an Ebay search on "Vendo" and you'll see for yourself. You might even find some of the models in this film... I did.)
This epic for Vendo is tied to Coca Cola machines specifically, and is trying to sell business owners on how a nice, shiny new Vendo (stocked with Coca Cola, of course) will help their business.
Very 50-ish, with tidy-dressed pop machine salesmen and typical 50's business owners, this film is a treat, dispite it's dry topic. Friendly salesmen pummel businessmen relentlessly into taking a Vendo Coke machine for their site until they (assumedly) give in, or kill the pesty salesman.
Well worth a view, if not a download.
Heck, you'll probably go off and get a "Vendo MultiDrink" for your home after this one, if not at least have a strange craving for a Coca Cola.

another Coke selling film, but this time to the salesmen of the product, telling them of the 'crisp clean' new line of coke machines they can hawk to wherever fine Coke products are sold. Nearly every sales problem is resolved here, as the chirpy coke salesperson goes to one cutomer to another to answer their questions, sometimes to amusing results. Also, the importance of design of this machine is shown (featuring a man who is pecuiliarily shot with a too long suit jacket and the pen set on his desk pointing to his genitals) as well as the construction of the machine as well, which of course, all have that crisp clean look. Whatever that means.

The film starts out praising American design. "Bold, "beautiful,"exciting impact" the announcer intones as rectangular 1960's office buildings are shown. All driven by the profit motive beacuse "workers work better ... when the appearance of the plant is more attractive." Eyesore ... I mean "attractive" gas stations are shown too, because, as we will learn later, Vendo Coke machines will help you sell more batteries and tires! You see, so far this is just a lead up to the bold, exciting new Vendo designs of Coca Cola vending machines that will bring the shop owner or business manager, profits, "plus profits," and "perpetual profits." Stiff acting, marketing jargon, overstated narrative, and bright red Coke machines. "This baby has real sales appeal."
