Wow, what a dated commercial!
Interesting toy though. Can you imagine all of the pennies slung and lost all through the house from the kids trying it out, then throwing it in the toybox and forgetting about it when they couldn't do it on the first day like they could in the commercial?
Wouldn't mind trying one myself, though!

I love the little boy he looks so bored.
I could just see the joy of slinging the penny around for about a minute, then it would be lets try... Rocks!
I wonder how many kids got good at aiming with it, so the penny would hurt someone.

I had one of these games when Parker first introduced this. It definitely taught you the laws of centrifical force (which I'm sure kids nowdays don't even know what that is-being raised on PS2/Nintendo, computer, listening to "hate/rap" music, learning about immorality, et.al.). If you think this is a "retarded/stupid" game, get one of these and see IF you can keep the penny(ies) on the point, then make your comment. Might make you smarter..not "retarded."

I am still not really sure of how the penny keeps in place, or how much fun kids could REALLY get from it (outside of 3 seconds), This toy (they call it a 'game') involves putting pennies on a holder and whirling it around with youe finger. Why not just take a bucket, fill it with water, and whirl that around?

This has got to be the stupidest toy with the biggest profit margin in the toy industry! But they probably paid more for this commercial than they grossed in sales. Who would buy this? Oh I forgot: You cannot underestimate the intelligence of the American public.

You may remember it if you're in your mid-40's. Eventually pulled from the market, this game figured in many an assault on the mentally disabled...

This is an ad for a "game" that appears to be more of an individual dexterity challenge. It might be from the mid-sixties, judging from the clothing. I don't remember the toy at all, so perhaps it wasn't that successful.
