OK kiddies, here we have a very straightforward film about Pewberty! Pewberty is a very interesting subject! Theres lost of changed that go on in the body, and in the film, the simplified drawings help us through this phase, by giving us simple, and highly artistic lol renditions of what goes on. Sometimes its with a circle, and sometimes with an artistic rendering! (Yes! The sex parts get the artistic treatment!). Again, all straightforward, it doesnt REALLY explain how male sperm cells get into the Lay-bee-a to make the bay-bee.., I guess thats for another class

While a lot of the sex education films of the 1950s try to sidestep the issue or attach guilt to parts of the process, this film is surprisingly frank and open.
Using slightly abstracted animation, a friendly narrator describes in detail the changes boys and girls go through as they grow up, using all of the medical terminology. The narrator emphasizes that differences in order or speed of development are normal and details how those changes come about. What is refreshing is the changes that both men and women go through are covered in equal weight. While the actual process of sex is not mentioned, and wet dreams are only mentioned in passing, this still remains a solid piece of information that could still be used and shown to the 13-15 year olds it was originally targeted at.
Given that terms like "labia" and "penis" are used (never mind that erection and ejaculation are not), you have to wonder how widely this film was actually used during the mid 1950s. My guess is probably not that much, especially when you compare with some of the other sex ed films featured in this collection.
