Re: FCC chief grills Comcast on BitTorrent blocking |
good heads-up, wine. Net Neutrality is what we need to worry about. I've mentioned it bigtime here recently... and I've been steadily preaching, "Get it while the getting is good." Get ready to pony up people, the toll lanes are coming to an ISP near you.

Re: FCC chief grills Comcast on BitTorrent blocking |
thanks wine, i'll check out that article a bit later, but let me just add that while the torrenting of music via bit torrent is pretty much wide-spread, the volume of people doing it for non-commercial, trade-friendly live stuff, is a tiny percentage of the whole, and yet, they, including myself, will likely fall under the same proposed penalties and fees; i'm not complaining one bit, do most of my trading via the good ol' US Post anyway, but the big users, those who torrent videos, film, software, television, commercial audio, are the real abusers; if you've ever checked out some of the pirate torrent sites, and compare the numer of seeders/leechers with say one of the live music torrenting sites, there's absolutely no comparison; whatever, the world is the way it is for a reason, whether logical or not, and so if anyone has any plans on starting a colony on mars, please e-mail me
