The last time I did a song that mentioned minimal everyone complained and said it was too busy so I decided to build a song on only two notes. I dumbed down the bassline as much as I could without having a seizure and fought to keep only 2 voices for most of the song. I could not stop myself from adding the synth solo at the end and the piano triads which added another 4 notes. As for the ambient part, I used recent field recordings that I just added to Freesound over an almost drone like intro...

This was Lipski's mixdown tape and has bassless mixes of some songs, different mixes of other songs and the best part... Remixes of the old shcool rap jams with Rakim. Brian Lipski seems to have been able to get a much much better sound than Valdo's mixdown of the songs. Nice Job... The other mixes do not do the songs justice and this is the way I remembered the jam sessions...
