	Gammatria [tmth064] - John Mason John Mason is, as you might expect, a close relative of Jon 7 and JMMIII. Jon 7 has a contentious colleague (interactions with whom he still values highly) who had offered him a release of "Guitar Music" for Time Theory. The offer was rescinded though due to Jon 7's failure to respond immediately. 	Antiparticles [tmth-001] - Kronofage Kronofage (derived from "chronophage", a time-eater) is a one-off project by Jon 7 that explores the effects of phasic relations between waveforms. This was partially planned and partially accidental, but a completely enjoyable experiment to undertake. 	Burning Flame [tmth-004] - Ruins Winter Ruins Winter is an noise project from Argentina, but "Burning Flame" is not your average noise. Instead of the merely brutish scraping noise that exists, this noise is more like volcanic eruption, crossed signals and waveform disruption. It's a very nice listen, something just barely controlled about it's other wise careening feedback and tones. 	Gloom [tmth029] - Twyll Twyll, a young lad from England, is the youngest member of the Timetheory pirate ship, and while he probably should be socializing with others his age and attending footy matches, he instead crafts dark shoegazing ambient tracks in the wee hours of the the night. "Gloom" is a good example of how solo ambient artists have essentially picked up where the shoegazing bands left off, and the simple titles and vast deep sound of these tracks will bring back some of the wild sonic comfort... 	Souvenir del Zoologico de la Primavera [tmth02D] - Escuadron de la Muerte Some ponder anxiously what awaits them in the afterlife, for Zee, commander of Escuadron de la Muerte, the answer is simple: "When we die, we all go to the zoo". According to the first track of this release, the zoo is located in Detroit, and "Souvenir del Zoologico de la Primavera" is your guided tour to the great zoo we apparently all visit in the end. 	Theory II [tmth00A] - Simple Painter Simple Painter returns to Timetheory with an addition to the "Theory" series. The sounds this time are of a heavier darker nature than those of the first "Theory". The emphasis here is more on the power-drone sound, achieved by accident while mixing his paint a bit too thick on the job. The titles this time are based on actual forms of divination rather than imaginary theories, inspired by SP's favorite breaktime reading material, the "Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and Divination"... 	Variable [tmth00B] - Carpenter John With a wink and a chuckle, Carpenter John (a moniker based on Jon 7's occasional profession) presents a gentle in-joke amongst his netlabel friends. Despite its play on words, "Variable" is a nice piece of music in its own right. The emphasis is more ambient pads, and there's a clean, open sound to it, and while it floats long like a drone piece there are evolving melodies throughout it. 	Collaboration [tmth00D] - Jon 7 + Hobby Knife In the summer of 2007, Jon 7 stopped by to visit Marilyn Kent (Hobby Knife) who lived close by to where he was staying at the time, and the two got along very well and agreed to collaborate on a little noise/sound jam the week after. Jon 7 was experimenting with shortwave radio distortion and field recordings (in a style that was later to become part of the style and material used for the President Blair project) and Marilyn was using numerous electronic children's toys and keyboards and effects... 	Alternate Universes [tmth00E] - JMMIII "Alternate Universes" a fairly short and simple release, is a collection of experiemnts in the use of fractal images as source for bitmap to wave file conversion. There was something about these particular fractal images though, that generated some interesting subtleties in the resulting sound files, which gave them a sound one might associate with jets of gas streaming through space. Ben's sound is often raucous and anarchistic, and this release highlights that style. 	Debut [tmth-005] - Leviathan Dumped WE got sent this recording by Leviathan Dumped, (a guy named David) who is the curator of the Barefoot Melt netlabel. Unfortunately at the time of this release we were unable to get in touch with him, and he has been invisible ever since. Such it is with art and artists, but we are still enjoying this release. 	Endpoint [tmth006] - Bath Bath, a duo from Cleveland, Ohio are the creators of this release, which marks an unexpected but welcome deviation from the Timetheory norm (if there is such a thing). The music of Bath is more gothic, electronically industrial and lyrically oriented than any previous releases. "Endpoint" has a sound that is reminiscent of early 4ad and Nettwerk albums, or perhaps like the import CD in the discount bin we used to enjoy discovering in the late 80's... 	Towers [tmth-006] - Jon 7 Many of Jon 7's ideas come from things seen in dreams, and "Towers" is a prime example. In the dream this album's concept came from, Jon 7 was walking through an old house where he found a large map indicating the presence of two large towers, towers that didn't actually exist but were indicative of two equipment set-ups that were referred to as the 'blue tower' and the 'red tower'. 	Accumulazioni [tmth-007] - Massimo Brazzini For our negative-integer numbered releases, we're proud to add this gem by Massimo Brazzini into our catalogue. "Accumulazioni" is, as the title suggests, an accumulation of tracks in this dark noisy style. The trilogy of tracks which begins the release, moves thorugh brutish harsh noise, then through a cacophony of bells and distortion, then culminating in an even noisier third part. the dramatic effect of these pieces will not be lost as it would be almost impossible to escape... 	Lightning Sunbath [tmth-008] - Ulv Ulf Holbrook, aka Ulv, is one our compatriots from Norway, who by having relatives from very near to where Jon 7 lives, proves how small a world it is indeed. The tracks on "Lightning Sunbath" were made during a bus ride along the Norwegian coast, using sounds recorded from around Ulv on the bus which were manipulated and processed in real-time. Thus, originally intended to be a duo, Desohll has evolved as a solo-project, dictated by the Gaian priest Joomoonaz. 	Drocht [tmth-00C] - Zieltogend "Drocht" is the first of the trilogy of deconstructions of Jon 7's "Time" album being released in the TT negative integer albums. Zieltogend's stock-in-trade is taking tracks, stripping them to their barest elements and recreating them in a stark and minimal fashion, what some might call "dark drift". This is a really excellent interpretation of "Time" in many ways because the original elements are unrecognizable, and because we find it fascinating how sound can be stretched without breaking... All tracks were utilized in one form or another, except for the closing track "Newfoundland time". 	Inauguration [tmth-010] - President Blair This second Time Theory release from President Blair explores his style of noise in a different manner than usual. the sounds on this release are (untypically for music in the noise genre) entirely digital in source and construction. No tapes were harmed in the making of this recording. It was however recorded in one take using a variety of small apps running at once. 	Remixes from the Hyperdimensional Digital Disaster Area [tmth012] - Jon 7/VFW In the courtyard of Vincent's Ear in Asheville, NC, Jon 7 met Amos Gaynes of VFW (Veterans of Future Wars) who was somewhat distraught that an entire hard drive full of sounds intended for use in several VFW tracks had suddenly burned out and crashed, severely corrupting over half of the files. The files were backed up onto disc, and the distress faded a bit as Jon 7 suggested that these digitally distorted sounds might be a perfect excuse for a remix project... 	Spring Theory [tmth014] - Mystahr Spring Theory Mystahr's eighth album, and first for Timetheory, taking a small leap from his usual (www. intelligentmachinery. net) nest, "Spring Theory" was created almost overnight. The coming of spring and the lengthening of days was like a breath of inspiration and in a sense "Spring Theory" created itself when all the pieces fell into place as oft is the case in his Dutch scientist studio. 	Pigment [tmth015] - Masaya Sasaki Masaya Sasaki is known from the release "Picnic Plan" on the fine netlabel -N, and when we discovered his music on Myspace, we were instantly transfixed. We've always found the Japanese take on electronic music fascinating, so it was suggested that Masaya Sasaki consider doing a release for Timetheory. There was an initial language barrier, but eventually the message went through; "Send whatever you think sounds best", and "Pigment" was what came back to us... 	A Journey Through Configurational Space [tmth016] - Somasen Somasen is the side project of Amos Gaynes, a member of VFW (Veterans of Future Wars) whose "Hyperdimensional Digital Disaster Area" was remixed BY JOn 7 a few releases ago. These two compositions were improvised in real time using his favorite recording and production environment, Audiomulch. The title track is an extended trip into a sort of industrial style of trance, and slowly grows and develops into a dense wall of beats and textures... 	Time [tmth019] - Upheaval The latest entry to the "Time" series comes from Upheaval, who reinterprets the theme in a darker and more earthbound direction than the previous "Time" releases. "25 To Life" is the title of the track, and Upheaval's signature dark sound effectively conveys the sound of isolation and bleak loneliness as well as the crushing weight of the burden of time itself.
