	Dean Holly live aircheck 8-12-06 Live aircheck from Country Legends 106.9 in Topeka, KS. Since, I have noted the PROPER pronunciation of Wynette ("win", not "wine"). I've worked there on weekends since 2004, when they were still K-Country. Sure this has some mistakes, but hey, I think it's a good example of my enthusiasm and general style, and I'd rather have a real aircheck than some pieced together "best of" aircheck. THIS is the real thing, recorded off-the-air in '63 when G.O. was the morning host on 1310 KDIA. By this date, Oxford was no longer using the "Jumpin'" monicker, having lost the right to do so in a dispute with former employer KSAN. Receiver used is a Sony XDR-S3HD from a distance of about 100 miles from Chicago. Program content is part of a local show (hosted by Jack Cassidy and Eric Mankow) and a complete syndicated show (hosted by noted author Mark Steyn). AM HD radio is subject to cut outs due to interference, this does happen some here. When the HD drops the receiver goes back to the AM signal, which has a degraded audio sound to it. 	Jay Thomas KPWR radio Dj aircheck Best remembered for being the Morning Host on 92.3 WKTU. He would be replaced by Howard Stern when WKTU switched to KROCK. This would become the launching pad for Stern's syndicated network. After WKTU flipped formats Thomas was hired by then new Rhythmic Top 40 upstart KPWR/Los Angeles in 1986 as their new moring host, which is where he would enjoy a successful run. 	Rick Dees L.A. Dj Aircheck KIIS-FM Dees worked in various radio stations throughout the southeastern United States, including WSGN in Birmingham, Alabama. Dees recorded "Disco Duck" in 1976 while working at WMPS-AM in Memphis, Tennessee which fired him over his airplay of it. Following a 45 day mandatory hiatus after his time at rival WMPS, he went on to WHBQ-AM in Memphis and took the station to #1.
