The Shape Sequencer is a graphical instrument where sounding shapes are manipulated using joypads to record small looping seqments of varying length and speed.

each track proceeding from track 2 onwards has been pieced together from samples from the previous tracks. Despite this limitation, bla continue to suprise and develop their sound in one of their most exciting albums to date. Rich and sombre textures follow light, dreamlike passages of ambience that give in to more conventional rhythm-led pieces. The whole album exhibits an unusual warmth in tone combined with spacious arrangements and bla's usual pure-electronics remit.
