I first encountered John Kannenberg at Stasisfield site, where he releases very interesting music. A lot of it is downloadable, just like on this site. Kannenberg presents his releases in a beautiful visual setting and I was therefore especially interesting in how the visuals translate into the audio. | Formatt - Exemn [lm08] - Formatt
Peter Smeekens is of Belgian descent, combining small sounds into a tight weaving and fabricating them into potent tissue. For EARLabs he composed three excellent tracks of small, light weight sound sources. There is a fourth track, which is a computer remix/scramble of the three original compositions. Mind you: it can ony be played with winamp. Somehow all other applications fail to read the header file and turn this brilliant computer-Cage-composition into hideous Merzbow-muck.

5 Pieces in line with what we can expect from this master of delicate thunder. Dale Lloyd gives us quite precise electronics interlaced with acoustic sources. Excellent electroacoustics from the USA. Composed for EARLabs in June, 2003, using field recordings and electronic embellishments from a Moog Concertmate MG-100 analog synthesizer. Some of the field sources were derived from air pressure moving the front door of my apartment during a very windy evening...

Freiband, aka Frans de Waard (GOEM, Kapotte Muziek, etc) remixed the A-Z Blender (LM01) using primarily Akira Rabelais' 'argeiphontes lyre'. All compositions are compressed to MP3 using variable bit rate (135 - 195kb/s).
