I came up with these guitar parts & vocal line, originally as a hard rock song, with no words. I was in a funky metal college band at the time(called Skunk), so we added silly words, a great funky baseline and a drum beat, and it became a funky song. This is the funky version but unplugged and needing a base & drum somewhere...

| Ale's Box of Felt Tip Pens - Ale Fernandez
Created in 1998, on a 4 track, in Glasgow. Mixed it down quickly as I only had a loan of the 4 track, but I still have the original tapes. I did artwork and demo tape layout in an MS publisher file as it was meant to be a first demo of me as a solo artist. I'll copy over this file at some point if I can dig it out.

| Compilation of Christmas Recordings 2006 - Ale Fernandez
Here is a compilation from lots of minidisc recordings taken during December 2006 from various end-of-year events: A Wassail/Subverted carol singing event (just snippets from a rehearsal for it actually), various recordings and rehearsals alone, trying out some new instruments, then jamming with friends and performing live and in rehearsals with the orchestra cube based at the cube cinema bristol.

| Derrumbe Gangoso - Ale Fernandez
I've been recently very taken by how deeply improvisation is a part of music - and by how much deeper I can take it. It can allow you to open the creative process up for others to participate in different ways, in tune with all this open source, file sharing business. Or it can be just tuning into that freak nature that we all hide somewhere.
