"Unicode" is the self-titled first release by this new tonstube artist. This short five track EP is his most personal, experimental and dark work to date. Being produced completly in linux it also is the starting point of a new production aproach for all future tonstube releases. With elements from idm, breakbeat, glitch and experimental, unicode is a statement against the polished, generic and over produced releases of today's music industry.

Unicode's second release on the tonstube netlabel is heavily lofi oriented. Still being experimental, unicode's approach keeps delivering a statement against today's overproduced pop music. Some tracks can be categorized as "Lofi", while others are IDM oriented. All in all, this album is more suited for chillout sessions than the first one, which was darker and less rhythmic.

Transmission is a story told in 5 parts. All Tracks were originally composed as one track. It is advised to either download the album in a format supporting gapless playback (flac/ogg) or to use a player, that supports gapless playback for mp3-files (like iTunes). This way you can fully experience the progression of the tracks as it was meant to be heard when it was created. |
