	Hoffman - Dark Fool [mtw017] Showing that he can still put out rolling breakbeats with the best of them, this Hoffman release showcases the kind of marvellous funky breaks that led De:Bug magazine in Germany to call us 'the Ninja Tune of the Net'.Mind you, this time round, 'Dark Fool' is somewhere between BT-esque progressive breakbeat, harder techno, and Incredible Bongo Band-style freestyling. 	Bearded Vault System - Selling Puppies From A Tray [mtk009] This release comes from Bearded Vault System, and that's not a facial-hair-related security device, rather the pseudonymous Bauri of Saundart Recordings, purveyor of enchanting and sometimes wild electronic noises. This particular track is beguiling, almost fluid techno, with spiky melodies drifting in and out of focus, but plenty of blessed minimalism too. Highly recommended. 	Vektrex - Plutonics EP [mtk013] A new EP from a brand new artist, Icelandic bringer of non-tranquility Vektrex, and whilst "Jacket From Planet Pluto" is an eloquent electro-ish track with a sneaky 'masters-of-triphop' sample and urgent, clicking percussion, the crazed beeps of "Perfect Pitch" bring to mind a NES game gone horribly, horribly wrong.
