Terminologically, this may not be spot on as it is does not create static or hold a static charge per se (Christ what a parp). It is basically a device that amplifies, via a speaker, the breaking and reconnection of a simple circuit. Essentially a switch, but I made it in such a way that I could use the 'switch' to create many different sounds...
