[movies]Super Mario 64 (emulated run, 16 star completion)
Ever wonder if Mario was actually a ninja wearing blue overalls? Now you know. This run completes the game after collecting a mere 16 stars. It was originally intended that the player collect a minimum of 70 to finish, but a few bugs allow Mario to pass through doors and barriers that require a minimum number of stars to open. Emulator input time: 16:27 Original homepage: http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/movies.cgi?id=436 This is a tool-assited movie...

[movies]Super Mario Bros 2 in 07:54 - Phil Côté
Super Mario Bros 2 is one of our most competed games. This is Phil's contribution. It improves the previous record by Sleepz by 36 frames (about 0.5 seconds) with minor improvements here and there. All of the tricks are however the same ― tricks which were invented by various authors, such as Sleepz and Genisto. If you are wondering how some of the tricks in this video work, see the Super Mario Bros...

[audio]Various - Monotonik Release Compilation #1 [mtk001-050]
This first set of free to download, Creative Commons-licensed MP3 releases from our electronica-based net.label, Monotonik (http://www.monotonik.com), were originally released from January 1999 to March 2001. They chronicle the period after Monotonik decided to stop releasing .MOD files, and start releasing those new-fangled (at the time!) .MP3s. Some highlights might include Lackluster's languidly beautiful "Bothersome (Mother Mix)", later to feature on his lovely 'Container' album on DeFocus, ...

[movies]Super Mario World (SNES) - 1:23:38 (US version, emulated run) - Tim Offermann (aka. VIPer7)
Some comments (aka. "novel" :P) from the author The movie is 301,102 frames (83:38 minutes) long, however the last minute was used to trigger a little easteregg. The last hit on Bowser takes place after 297,736 frames (82:42 minutes), so this is the actual time of completion. As the movie is so long, and even watching it in turbo mode still takes some time, I created a few savegames throughout the movie, which you can load if you watch the movie with "Open Read-Only" actived...

[movies]Super Mario RPG (SNES) - 2:57:34 (US version, emulated run) - Spezzafer
This is a unique Squaresoft RPG that uses traditional Nintendo characters from the classic Super Mario Bros games. This movie includes the fight with Culex. Although the movie may have shorter without them, it is more interesting to be able to observe it and take advantage of the rewards later in the game. The Lucky Jewel is used in most of the boss fights to gain levels faster, most notably in the Culex fight...

[audio]xoc - SMW - Jason Cox
The complete soundtrack to Super Mario World, covered by one man using dozens of instruments. Roughly in game order, faithful to the originals, with some bizarre artistic license thrown around.
