A Show Called Fred was the successor series to The Idiot Weekly, Price 2d. It was made by Associated-Rediffusion and broadcast only in London area. It was predominantly a sketch comedy attempting to translate the audio antics of the The Goon Show into visual antics in bizarre and often surreal comedy sketches. The bizarre story set in Napoleon's France with an aging Boris Karloff, a young Jack Nicholson, his then girlfriend Sandra Knight and nobody seems to know exactly what's going on... Great fun to watch though. Roger Corman did sign the film but a lot of uncredited directors helped to finish it, including Jack Hill, star Nicholson and then beginner Francis Ford Coppola... Paradoxically, the copy of this trailer is far better than most of the dvds of the film available on the market...

This clip features Dolores Gonzales and Clara Mortensen in a bout that took place September 1, 1937 in the San Antonio, Texas Walkathon arena. The referee is Dr. Karl Sarpolis, also a wrestler. This is the first professional female wrestling bout held in San Antonio. Clara won the match, but later faced Dolores again for a re-match because of claims that Sarpolis was an unfair ref.

| Mule Deer at Yosemite
These mule deer were grazing just a few feet from the sidewalk, not caring much about the tourists walking by. One doe did get a bit spooked though when someone tried to feed her a handful of grass. Later I found out that the animal that's caused the most human injury in Yosemite National Park isn't the bear, or even the coyote. Its the mule deer. Taken in the Leidig Meadow, near Swinging Bridge in Yosemite Valley.
