	Pompa Funebris Volume 3 - Greg Fox This is the third and final volume of the Pompa Funebris, an indeterminate requiem written in 2006. This volume brings together the threads from the first two, with rearrangements of the material used as elements in volume one combined with a radical reworking of the data matrix from volume two. 	GregFox_TheTonalSystem - Greg Fox A piece exploring the technique of 'Periodic Pointillism' by Greg Fox, August 2008. The piece consists of twelve sampled electric bass notes. Each of the notes lasts a certain duration and is followed by a silence of a certain duration. The note/silence then repeats precisely for the period of a contemporary audio CD. Each of the twelve notes is independent and of unrelated duration (non-integer ratios, at least to the human ear)... 	Piano Pieces - Greg Fox Old salvaged tapes from early 90s of Greg Fox piano music - these have mainly not been distilled into specific pieces but rather are vague notions of what happens, so that the performance is 40% improvised. Do please bear in mind these are from very old cassette tapes, so the sound quality is not good. I've done what I can but they're still best played softly basically, then they sound ok. 	Day One - Greg Fox "Day One" is one of a planned series of single-stretch CDs which subvert the idea of 'Relaxation CDs' - in this case a certain steadiness and calmness of mind does tend to arise from concentrating on the piece or playing it when you're in bed. It explores equal temperament tunings, in particular 19tet piano, 11tet flute, 13tet clarinet and 10tet guitar. The piece is a CD length in duration and is pretty black in mood. 	Malhaus Fringes EP - "Reparation Day" and "Cyborg Vombatron" - Greg Fox A kind of pre-release 'Single' for the Malhaus Construction Kit collection, "Reparation Day" is a spin-off of that project and uses very different musical material and a ghostly 'fish waveform'. It's 15 and a half minutes, like one of those slimline CD singles seen in the shops in the 1990s and 2000s, and is partly disturbing, partly peaceful. 	Aural Perspectives on DNA - Volume 1 - Greg Fox An ongoing project for 2007 by Greg Fox investigating possible ways to aurally model DNA/RNA codons. This first volume relates to a chordal approach: There are 64 codons, coding for 20 amino acids. The 20 amino acids translate in this model to a ten-division equally tempered octave with one major and one minor chord per pitch-class. 	Des Éléments - Greg Fox A greedy reductionist approach to composition in which all musical phenomena are merely emergent properties of the system. Each element is simply one sine wave of an arbitrary (and randomly derived) pitch sounded for an arbitrary (and randomly derived) period followed by an arbitrary (and randomly derived) period of silence. 	Confessions of a Teenage Sociopath - Greg Fox A collection of amusing material from my teens. I was born in 1974 and the music from this tape comes from somewhere between January 1991 and April 1992 and dates from a time when I was a 16/17-year-old flamboyant "virtuoso" pianist (ie. lots of notes, little accuracy). Some shocking but interesting "interpretations" of Beethoven with full cadenzas improvised by me, plus a really regrettable attempt at Poulenc's "Les Soirees de Nazelles" which ends up turning into pure improvisation... 	Incarz - Greg Fox A film by Greg Fox. Basically it's a series of clips taken with a handheld digicam without looking, often whilst driving (it's not as unsafe as it sounds). The clips were then blended using the very simplest of software until much of the film appears highly layered. Towards the end there's some stills and GIF animations introduced to the mix and throughout there are intermittent spam readings and text-subtitles... 	Malhaus Construction Kit - Greg Fox This is the "Construction Kit" version of "Malhaus", which is a project I made in March 2006 with the Internet Archive in mind. It's my attempt at furthering a model of "open source audio" in which the end-user compiles a unique instance of "the piece" for themselves rather than having composer/performers dictate the exact nature of what's to be heard.
