Sound sample: zinc plate - Nicholas Naughton This is an example of our failed attempt to etch a playable line onto a zinc plate. The problem was that we did not have a cutting lathe yet, and so the lines were not consistent with the center hole on the plate. The needle would not hold on the plate.
