It’s defiantly a lighter shade, more electro, even pop, musically, at times. It has a subtext though, a more subversive side, lyrically. It still deals with a kind of emotional fatigue and isolation by the narrator. The songs and the stories inside them are set in a world that is part Orwellian 1984, part Gibson cyber-punk.
