Available in six versions: normal/low quality DivX, and normal/high/insane/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: Ahh it is a relief to actually get a run out there. This is my first run so it has minimal greatness but it still has all of the potential. I'd like to thank Radix, Nathan Jahnke, and a special thanks to 3nki for his help... Was disqualified for submission to Speed Demos Archive when the second of four source VHS tapes was lost in the mail. Author's comments: October 15, 2005 - Ben Fichter There are two reasons why I didn't do this run months ago: 1) I was afraid that it would be longer than 7 hours. 2) The game is difficult. Both reasons are why I did this in many segments... Keywords: Jak and Daxter; PlayStation 2 Downloads: 557,778 Average rating: (0 review) |

Available in three versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60fps high quality. Author's comments: I wish Jak and Daxter could've been beaten as fast as Super Mario 64. Less than an hour and a half isn't possible. Less than two hours isn't possible. I couldn't jump into magical pictures to save time. The world of Jak and Daxter acts like an actual world with almost no load times between places... Keywords: Jak and Daxter; PlayStation 2 Downloads: 81,368 Average rating: (2 reviews) |

Author's comments: Thanks to Radix for all he does and thanks to Nate for putting up the partial Jak II run last year and for doing this run as well since it's long and in many segments. ![[movies]](/images/mediatype_movies.gif) | Jaws (NES) - 04:19 (US version, emulated run) - James Browne (aka. ziplock) explanations -FCE Ultra emulation -No warps, passwords, or glitches -No damage or deaths -100% kills-ish -In making a speed run of Jaws, it was necessary to kill the enemies fast, as if you don't kill an enemy quickly, he'll simply swim off the screen and reappear from the other side a level up. Each underwater encounter lasts, at minimum, as the enemies are alive, so the faster the dispatch, the better... ![[movies]](/images/mediatype_movies.gif) | Jaws (NES) - 0:03:58 - Daniel Brown - Daniel 'Kareshi' Brown Speed run of Jaws, done on November 14 2006. Available in five versions: low/normal quality DivX, and normal/high/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: Jaws is not a highly sought-after title, but it's been the competition of Rudy Ferretti that made me push this game so far. Trying to beat his times made me go back to the drawing boards, armed with a now-obsolete TAS (tool-assisted speedrun made on an emulator) and a mood for experimentation... Availble in six different versions: DivX normal/low quality, and h.264 normal/low (20fps) and high/insane (60fps) quality. Author's comments: Game Start: My intent is to hit the latest possible "shallow" scene. If one's first "You've Hit Something!" encounter is in a deep spot, it will take longer to finish. Available in three versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60 fps high quality. Author's comments: Intro: I think this run is nearly unbeatable, so hopefully it'll stand a while. Author's comments: So well, I decided to try to improve my Jedi Outcast run out of sheer boredom a while ago. Author's comments: Each level on this run was recorded separately because Fraps would just stop recording after each level. Available in five versions: low/normal quality DivX, and normal/high/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: JSR is my second speedrun, my first was the ps2 Shinobi. I decided to play as Tab because he has easy tags and holds 30 cans.
