TREATMENT. The treatment is usually primarily irradiation, while cytotoxic
drugs are used for advanced cases. Surgical removal involves a massive
resection, often a hemiglossectomy, removal of part of the mandible and a
block dissection of the neck glands, and is generally reserved for recurrences.
