Indian citi?pns anrl persons migrated from Pakistan with in-
tention of permanently settling in India or subjects of Nepal,
Sikkim or pnrtucuc?se or former FrPnoh prosessions in India. Upper
cge limit relasnble by 3 years for Schedule Castes, Tribal and ab-
original communities and up to 45 ycar& for displaced persona from
Pakistan and non-liberated areas of Jammu and Kashmir. No
relaxation for others, save in exceptional cases and will in no case be
rrlaxcd beyond three years. Particulars and application forms
frnm Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Post Box no. 186,
Rev.- Delhi- Requests for forms must specify name of post and
.should be accompanied by self-addressed UEfitamped envelope for each
pu'-i at least of size 9" V 4" indicating thereon name of post for

2.    Four    Assistant   Information    Officers     (English),    Press

Cttitral&iuice, ClassII, gazetted.   Temporary but likely to continue
indefinitely.    Tvoieserved for Scheduled Castes candidate one for
Ecktdiltd Tritte candidate if such suitable candidates are available,
otherwise  pu&ti  treated   as unreserved.    Candidates   selected for
interview may be required to sit for written test details of which will
follow   in   du^J   couwe.   Pay.   Rs.350—25—500—E.B.—30—620.
Higher initial pay may be granted to specially qualified and experi-
enced  candidate*.    Age: Between  26   and  35     years.     Relaxable

and Industry,   Central Service, Class I (gazetted).     Temporay     but

to specially qualified and experienced candidates.    Age, -,   between
25 and  45 years.    Selaxablefor Government servants.   Qualifications
Essential : (i) Degree  of recognised University m Commerce arm
Arts with Economics as a subject,    (u) About 3 year's experience
in responsible capacity in Commercial Firm or Government Depart-
ment     connected   with   trade/commeicc/publicity/public relations.
Qualifications rolaxable at Commission's discretion in case of candi-
dates otherwise well-qualified.

4.    One    Principal    R.   B.Lalan Govetnjnent   Degree     Colkge,
Bhuj under Government oj Kulch \ Central Service    Class II (gazetted)-
Post temporary but   expected to be retained   on a permanent basis.
Candidates  who  had  applied in  response  to  Commission's  adver-
tisement no. 34 of 1954 which appeared on   14th August, 1954, need
not    apply    again.    Pay : Rs.500—30—800.      Higher    initial pay
may be granted to a specially   qualified and experienced candidates.
Age: Between 35 and 45 years.    Eelaxable for Government  servants.
Qualifications : Essential: (i) At least 2nd class Master's or equivalent
Honours degree of recognised University in Arts or Science, (u) About
5 years' experience of teaching up to degree standard,  (in)   Adminis-
trative experience.      Qualif itations     rolaxable     at       Commission's
discrotion   m  case   of candidates   otherwise well-qualified.

C. One Statistical Research Officer, Programme Evaluation
OiganisatioHt Planmng Commission,', CentralSerwce ClassII. Tem-
porary but likely to continue. Otherwise things being equal
preference to Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidate. Pay . Rs.330—
:!5—500—3'J —800. Higher initial pay may be granted to a specially
qualified and experienced candidate. Age,: Below 40 years. Re-
laxable far Government servants. Qualifications : Essential -. (i) Mas-
ter's or equivalent Honours degree in Statistics or in Mathematics or
Economics with post-graduate qualifications in Statistics from a
recognised institution, (u) about 2 years' experience in. collection,
analysis and interpretation ot statistics preferably survey and
analysis in socio-economic field. Qualifications relaxable at Com-
mission's discretion in case of candidates otherwise well-qualified-

6. One Regional Evaluation Officer; Programme Evaluation
Organisation, planning Commission. Central Set vice Class L
Temporary but likely to continue. Other things being equal pre-
ference given to Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidate. Pay : Ra.600—
40—800—50—1,150. Higher initial pay may be granted to a spe-
cially qualified and experience candidate. Age : Below 45 years.
Relaxable for Government servants. Qualifications : Essential:
(i) At least second class Master's or equivalent Honours degree of
i ecogmsed University in a Social Science subjct. (11) About 3
years' expenance of socio-economic research relating to rural
surveys and development programmes. Qualifications relaxable
at Commission's discretion in case of candidates otherwise well-

7. One Assistant Information Officer (Mjlayalam) Press
Information Bweau, Ministry of Information, and Broadcasting,
Central Service Class II (gazetted). Temporary and likely to conti-
nue indefinitely. Other things being equal preference given to
Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidate. Candidates selected for inter-
view may also be> required to ait for written test details of which
