NOTICE UNDER SECTION 15(1) OF THE U. P.
INCOME TAX ACT,  1948

(FOE ASSBSSBES  OTHER THAN  COMPANIES)

Assessment year 1955-56

1.    In pursuance  of   the   provisions    of   section
15(1)    of the  U. P.   Agricultural Income  Tax Act,
1948, I, Ahmad Hasan,    Collector    of   Hardoi   Dis-
trict do hereby call upon every person, firm, undi-
vided Hindu family, society, trust or association other
than a. company     as denned in the Indian Income
Tax Act, 1922 (XI of 1922), whose agricultural income
exceeds  Rs.4,200   to   prepare  a  return  and   correct
statement  of his  or its  agricultural    income during
the previous year beginning from July 1,  1954 r.nd
ending on June 30,   1955   in form no. A. I. T.-3 and
to deliver the same, where the income exceeds one
lack, at my office otherwise at the office of the Sub-
Divisional Officer of the Sub-Division in which such
person, firm, undivided Hindu family, society, trust
or associatior, as the case may be, resides or carries
on business or is situtate, duly signed and verified in
the manner indicated in the said form by him or it
within thrity-five days of the publication of this notice.

2.    The   income   to   be  returned   is   the   " total
agricultural income"  as denned in section 2(16) of
the U. P. Agricultural Income Tax Act, 1948.

3.    The  form  contains instructions  required  for
the  preparation  of the return.   If any further  in-
formation is desired, it can be obtained at the office
of the  Assessing   Officer   concerned.

4.    If any claim for depreciation is to be made,
necessary particulars in form Annexure E  to form
no. A. I. T.-3 should be furnished.

5.    In accordance with the provisions of section
29 of the Act P. return should be furnished—

(ft} in the case of a firm in form no. A. I. T.-10
shewing the names of the partners of the firm
with their addresses.

(6) in the case of an undivided Hindu family
in form 110. A. I. T.-ll showing the names
of the Manager or Karta along with the names
of all adult male members of the family with
their relationship and their addresses, or

(c) in form no. A. I. T. -12 showing the names
of any persons for or on behalf of whom you
are a trustee, mutawalli, guardian, agent or
representative, with their addresses.

6.    If you are submitting the return for "the first
time, it ahould be accompanied by a declaration in
from A. I. T.-2    indicating the option an    to    the
method of computation of your income under section 6.

1.    In pursuance of the provisions of section 15(1)
of   the   U.    P.    Agricultural     Income     Tax    Act,
1948, I, M. C. Sharma, I.A.S.,   Collector of Dehra Dun
District  do  hereby  call upon  every   person,    firm,
undivided Hindu family, society, trust or association
other th?.n a company as defined in the Indian In-
come Tax Act, 1922 (XI of 1922), whose agricultural
income   exceeds   Rs.4,200  to  prepare   a   return,  and
correct  statement  of his  or  its  egricultural  income
during the previous year beginning from July 1, 1954
and ending on June 30, 1955 in form   no. A. I. T.-3
and to deliver the same, where the income exceeds one
lakh, at my office otherwise at the office of the Sub-
Divisional Officer of the Sub-Division in which such
person, firm,    undivided, Hindu family, society, trust
or association, as the case may be resides or carries
on business  or is situate,  duly signed  and verifiec!
in the manner indicated in the said form by him or
it within thirty-five days of   the publication of this
notice.

2.    The income to be returned is the " total agri-
cultural income" as defined in section 2(15) of the
U. P. Agricultural Income Tax Act, 1948.

3.    The  form   contains  instructions  required   foi
the prepration of the return.   If any further infor-
mation is desired, it can be obtained at the office oi
the Assessing Officer concerned.

4.    If any claim for depreciation is to be made
necessary particulars in form Annexure E  to form
no. A. I. T.-3 should be furnished.

5.    In accordance with the provisions of sectioi
29 of the Act a return should be furnished—

(a)  in the case of a firm in form no. A. I, T.-H
showing the names of the partners of the fim
with their addresses.

(b)  in the case of an undivided Hindu faroib
in form no. A. I. T.-ll    showing   the   name
of the Manager or Karta along with the namoi
of. all adult male members of the family wit]
their relationship and their addresses,  or

(c)  in form no. A. I. T.-12 showing the name
of any person for or on behalf of whom you ar
a trustee,  mutawalli, guardian,    agent or rep
resentative,  with  their addresses.

6.    This  return  should   be    accompanied   liy
declaration in form A. I. T.-2 indicating the optio
as to the method of computation of your inoo-me undc
