NOTICE UNDER SECTION 15(0 OP THE U. P.
AGRICULTURAL INCOME TAX ACT, Iflja

(FOR ASSESHEES OTHEK THAN COMPANIES)

Assessment year 1955-56

1.    In pursuance  of   the.    provisions    of   section
15(1),   of   the    U. P. Agricultural Income   Tax Act,
19 ts, I, G, S. David,   Collector   of D.oiia    District,
do   hereby   call   upon every   person, firm, undivid-
ed  Hindu   Family,   Society,  Trust    or  Association
other    than    a company as    denned in    the Indian
Income Tax Act. 1922 (XI of 1022), whose agricultural
income   exceeds   _Rs.452UO to prepare   a   return   and
correct   statement   of his or   its   agricultural income
during the previous year beginning from July 1,   1054
and ending on June 30, 1055, in form no. A.I.T.-:i   t'-nd
to deliver the same, where the income exceeds one lakh,
at my office otherwise at the office of the Sub-Divisional
Officer of the   Sub-Division  in  which   such  person,
firm, undivided, Hindu Family, Society, Trust or As-
sociation,  as the case may be, resides or carries on
business  or is situate, duly signed and verified in  the
manner indicated in the said form by 1dm or it within
thirty-five days of the publication of this notice.

2.    The income to be returned is the " total agri-
cultural income " as defined in section 2(16) of the
U, P. Agricultural Income Tax Act, 1948.

3.    The form contains instructions required for the
preparation of the return.   If any further information
is desired, it can be obtained at the office of the Assess-
ing Officer concerned.

4.    If any claim for   depreciation is to be made,
necessary particulars in form Annexure  E    to  form
no. A. I. T.-3 should be furnished.

5.    In accordance with the provisions of section 20
of the Act a return should  be furnished—

(a) in the case of a firm in form no. A.LT,-10
showing the names of the partners of the firm
with their addresses,

(b) in the case of an undivided Hindu Family
in form no. A.I.T.-ll showing the names of the
Manager or Karta along with the name? of all
adult male members  of the family with their
relationship and their addresses, or

(c)in form no. A.LT.-12 showing the names
of any persons for or on behalf of whom yon
are a trustee, mutawalli, guardian, agent or repre-
sents tive, with their addresses.

6.    If you are submitting the return for the first
tune,   it  should  be   accompanied   by   a   declaration
in form A.T.T.-2 indicating the option as to the method
ot   computation of  your   income under section 6.

Assessment year 1955-56

1.    In pursuance of the provisions of section 15(1)
of  the  U.   P.   Agricultural  Income   Tax Act, 1949,
I, R. R. Sin'h, i.-'. s.. Drputy Commissioner, Naini
TdJ District do hereby call upon  every person,   firm,
undivided Hindu Pr.mily. Society, Trust or Association
other than « company as cleaned in the Indian Income
TP.X Act, 1922 (XI of 1922), whone agricultural income
exceeds  Rs.4,200  to   prepare  a   return   and   correct
statement  of his or h r  agricultural income  during
the previous yeur beginning from July 1,  1954,   and
ending on rlune 110, 1955   in form no. A.  1. T.-3 and
dclivei  thi> same,    whore the income     exceeds   oiie
lakh, (Rs. J 00,000) at my office otherwise at the office
of the   Agri ultnral Income Tax  Ofncirs, Naini  Tal,
Tarai aiul  Bhabav and   Ka^Lipur in    which    such
person, firm, Undivided Hindu Family, Society, Truat
or association,   as   the co.se may be, resides or carries
on business or is situate, duly signed and veriled in
the manner indicated in the said form by him or it

2.    The  income   to   be  returned   is   the   "total
agricultural income" as  defined in  section 2(16) of
the U.  P. Agricultural Income Tax Act, 1948.

formation is desired, it onn be obtained at the office
of the AKsessing Officer concerned.

4.    If any clciim for depreciation is to be made,

no. A. I. T.-3 should be furnished.

5.    In accordance with the provisions of vsection
29 of the Act a return should bo furnished—

(a)  in the case of a f rm in form no. A.LT.-lO
showing the names of the partners of the fiim
with   their   addresses.

(b)  in tne case of an undivided Hindu family
in form no. A.  I.   T.-U  showing the   names
of the Manager or Karta along with the names
of all adult male members of the family with
their relationship and their addresses, or

(c)  in form  no.   A.I.T.-12   showing the names
of any persons for or on behalf of whom you
are  a   trustee,   mutawalli,   guardian,   agent  or
representative,   with   their   addresses.

6.    If you F.i-e submitting the return for the first
time, it should be accompanied by a declaration in
form A. I. T.-2    indicating the option    as    to   the
method of computation of your income under .section 6.
