NOTICE UNDER SECTION   15(1)   OF  THE  U P
AGRICULTURAL INCOME TAX ACT, 19-18.

(FOR ASSESS EEfi OTHER THAN COMPANIES)

Assessment year 1955-56

1.    In pursuance of the provisions of section 15(1)
of the U. P.    Agricultural   Income   Tux   Act, 1948,

District, do  hereby  call upon  every     person;  fiim,
undivided Hindu family, society, trusd or p.ssocir.tion

income   exceeds   Ra.4,200  to  prepp,re  i",  return   and
correct  statement   of hi.s  or its  agricultural  income
during the previous year  beginning   from July.  L954
arid ending on June HO, 1955 in foim no. A. I. T. -II
a,nd to deliver the same, where the income exceeds one
lakh, at my office otherwise at the office of the Sub-
Divipionp.l Officer of Lhe Sub-Division in which such
person, firm,    undivided Hindu family, society, trust
or association, r.a the case may be resides or carries
on business  or  is  situate,   duly signed e.nd verified
in the manner indicated in the siid  form by him or
it within thirty-five clays of the   publication of this
notice.

2.    Tho income to be returned is the " totsj F.gri-
cultural income"  as denned in section 2(16) of the
U. P. Agricultural Income Tax Act, 1948.

3.    Tho  form   contains   instructions  required   for
the prep M-ation of the return.    If any further infor-
mation is desired, it can be obtained at the office of
the Assessing Officer concerned.

4.    If r,ny claim for depreciation is to be made,
necessary particulars in form Annexure E  to  form
no. A. I. T.-3 should be furnished.

5.    In accordance with the provisions of section
29 of the Act a return should be furnished—

(a)  in the case of firm   in form no. A. I. T. -10
showing   the names of the partners of the firm
with their addresses ;

(b)  in the case of an undivided Hindu family
in form no.  A. I. T.   -11 showing the names
of the Maine.ger or Karta, along with the names
of all adult male members of bhe family with
their relationship and their addresses;  or

(c)  in  form no.  A.   I.  T.  -12   showing the
names of any parson for or on behalf oi whom you are

a trustee, muto,wa,lli, guardian,    agent   or rep-
resentative,   with,  their  addresses.

6.    If you are submitting the return for the first
time it  should  be   accompanied  by  a declaration in
form no A. I. T. -2 indicating the option as to  the
method of computation of your income under section 6.

NOTE—The forma specified above can be bad from   the office

(c) In Form no. A.LT.-12 showing the names
of any person for or on behalf of whom you are
a trustee, Mutawalli, Guardian,   Agent or re-
presentative, with their addresses,

fi. If you are submitting the return for the fiirst
time it should be accompanied by a declaration in
Form no. A.LT.-2 indicating the option as to the
method of computation of your income under section (J.

NOTE — The forms specified above can be hod from tho offica of
the   Assessing   Officer   concerned.
