APPLICATIONS are invited for the undermentioned posts from
Indian citizens and persons migrated from Pakistan -with intention
of permanently settling m India or subjects of Nepal, Sikkim or
Portuguebe or former French possessions in India. Upper age limit
relaxable by a years for Scheduled Castes, Tribal and aboriginal com-
munities and up to 45 years for displaced persons from Pakistan
and non-liberatod areas of Jarnmu and. Kashmir. No relaxa.

for Scheduled Castes and Tribes) 3rd Weptembor, 1955 (17th Septem-
ber, 1955 for applicants from abroad). Commission may remit

application with separate fee required for eaoh post. Candidates
abroad may apply on plain paper if form* not available, and de-
posit fea with local Indian Embassy. If required i "

1. Economic Adviser to the Government of India, Ministry of
Labour.—Post temporary but likely to continue. Reserved for
Scheduled Tribes canddates failing that for Scheduled Caste candi-
dates if such suitable candidate available otherwise to be treated
aa unreserved. Pay : Rs. 1,300—60—1,600—100—1,800. Higher
initial pay to specially qualified and experienced candidates. Affe i
preferably below 50 years. Qualifications : Essential : (i) At least
second class Master's or equivalent Honour's degree id. Economics
or Commerce, (n) Research work of recognised merit in Economics
preferably on labour problems (copies of papers published may be
sent). (Ai) General administrative experience in responsible capa*
city. Qualifications relaxable at Commision'a discretion in case
of candidates otherwise well qualified.
2. 'JVae Assistant Directors, Grade I, Directorate General oj
Supplies and Disposals.—Posts temporary, but likely to continue.
Two posta r.served for Scheduled Castes and one post for Scheduled
Tribes candidates ; if such suitable candidates available, otherwise all
posts treated as unreserved. Pay . Rs. 350—330—380—380—30—

qualified and experienced candidates. Age : between 25 and 35 years
