MONTHLY WEATHER REPORT OF UTTAR PRADESH FOR THE MONTH OF MAY, 1955.

1,    Rainfall was iu largo defect in all the divisions being about 77 per cent in defect in the States.

2,    Weather was practically dry over the plains of Uttar Pradesh except for isolated light rain or thunder showers which    uri-anvil ilimmr th*1 porim! 1st to Sth,
;jlth and 22nd to 26th. Over the hillN, local to fairly wide-spread rain or thunder showers occurred on the 3rd, 4th ami  llth May.

"   "      The seasonal rainfall, as reukoned from 1st March was iu.moderate decoct in Kumauii and Meerut Divisions and in large defect  fWwlu'ri'.
While the mean maximum and minimum temperatures and cloud amounts were normal, the humidity was below normal.
