the Raymond Consolidated School

Raymond Home Culture
Club Meetin
The Raymond Home Culture Club
held its first meeting of the new club
year in the auditorium of the public
school on March 19.
Mrs. C. E. Harris called the meet-
ing to order in the absence of the
president, Mrs. Jack Hamilton. Mrs.
W. M. McKenzie introduced the guest
speaker, Mrs. Edith Wyatt Moore, of
Natchez, who talked to the club
about her historic town and showed
slides of interesting Natchez scenes.
Mrs. Moore is a lecturer of national
recognition and the club feels very
fortunate in having been able to se-
cure her for this program.
Club members and guests, includ-
ing members of the Garden Club of
Edwards, were invited to the club
room, at the conclusion of the pro-
gram, where delicious refreshments
were served by the hostesses, mes-
dames 0. V. Shearer, S. E. Brent, L.
L. Townsend, Charles Long, and R.
L. Clarke.
Attractive new year books were
handed members as they entered the
auditorium, prior to the program.
