ON ACCEPTING A TRUST On $ist May, 1937, three days after he became Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain 'was elected Leader of the Con- servative Party at a meeting at the Caxton Hall, Westminster. Lord Derby moved a resolution, seconded by Mr. Winston Churchill, assuring him of the loyal and whole-hearted support of the Party in the task that lay before him.
