NO DESIRE FOR ENCIRCLEMENT

During the weeks that followed the Opposition speakers kept
up an increasingly litter campaign against the policy that had
averted war in September. In a delate on 1st November on the
International Situation, Mr. Attlee attacked the Government
for the Munich Agreement, for its general policy, for its lack of
military preparations and for its failure to defend the economic
interests of the country. The Prime Minister again replied.
