8:00 p.m. — Dance to "The Country Club Band" - "Coun- 
try with the Modern Beat" 
9:30 p.m. — Presentation of the Centennial Queen 

"Religious Heritage Day" - Sunday August 19 

Morning — Attend Church of Your Choice 
12:30 p.m. — Picnic at Eberhardt Park 
7:00 p.m. — Hymn Sing - Followed by 
8:00 p.m. — Interdenominational Worship Service ■ Rev. 
Ralph Nast of Champaign, Illinois, Speaker - at High 
School Athletic field. 

"Old Fashioned Sidewalk Sale Days" - Monday August 20 

8:30 a.m. — All Day - Merchants will feature prices of 100 
years ago. Town decorated in festive atmosphere. 
Clerks on the sidewalk in costume. Browse and look 
at historical window displays while taking advantage 
of savings. 

7:30 p.m. — Square and Round Dance with Six Callers - 
at Fire House 

"Old Fashioned Sidewalk Sale Days" - Tuesday August 21

former residents register - visit and view historical 
displays.

mann's Used Car Show Room includes spinning and 
weaving, apple butter making, glass blowing, wood 
carving, actual quilting, and horseshoeing. Will con- 
tinue throughout week. 

1:00 p.m. — Basket Picnic - at Eberhardt Park. Soft 
Drinks, 100th Birthday Cake, and Ice Cream available. 

2:00 p.m. — Old Settlers Contest - Eberhardt Park. A- 
wards for Oldest Professional Man; Professional Wo- 
man; Couple; person. Honky Tonk music with games 
and dancing. 

2:00 p.m. — Carnival Midway continues. 

7:30 p.m. — Pre-Spectacle Entertainment • Square Danc- 
ing Demonstration. Presentation of awards for after- 
noon contest. 

8:30 p.m. — The Big Historical Spectacle "Arthurama ■ 
100 Years Revisited." Arthur High School Athletic 
Field • Coronation of Queen and 4 Princesses. Cast of 
250 will dramatize Arthur's History in thrilling, fast 
moving, performance. 

"Youth Day and Ladies Day" - Thursday August 23 

Ladies Activities: 

9:00 a.m. — Koffee Klatch, Antique Show by B.P.W., and 

Style Show by Dotties Fashions at Sugar Bowl 
11:00 a.m. — Boss's Luncheon - Secretary's Treat • Corn 

Bread and Beans at Sugar Bowl - Advance Tickets. 
2:00 p.m. — Ladies Old Fashioned Garden Tea and Style 

Show. Fashions through the decades with awards for 

best replica, family group and many others - Arthur 

Flower Shop 



Youth Activities: 

9:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. — Youth in Government - Elected 
before Centennial will work side by side with officials 

12:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m. — Youth Parade starting: at Medical 
Center. Led by Little Miss and Little Mister Candi- 
dates followed by Mini-Bikes, horses, decorated bikes, 
unicycles, window display winners, pets, bands - Most 
unusual parade ever - Stops at Grade School. 

At end of parade — Hobby show, pet show, homemakers 
fair. Junior art show. Old Fashioned Youth Picnic - 
sack races, PreTeen Dance, watermelon eating con- 
test, balloon blowing contest, tug-of-war, relays, 
greased pole with $5.00 on top. Clowns and prizes for 
all. 

All Afternoon — Old Fashioned Bingo - West Illinois St. 

Afternoon and evening — Arts and Crafts Continued - 
Downtown - Carnival Midway Continues. 

7:30 p.m. — Pre-Spectacle - Crowning of "Little Miss & 
Little Mister Centennial" Winner will get to ride in 
big parade Saturday. Drawing for Mini-Bike, Awards 
for day's activities. Singalong led by one of the Broth- 
ers of the Brush Chapters. 

8:30 p.m. — Second Performance of "Arthurama - 100 
Years Revisited" 

9:00 p.m. — Teen Dance - Location to be announced.
