A BILL
Providing for the disposition of the statue of Abraham Lincoln
which formerly stood on the site in front of the courthouse
in the city of Washington, in the District of Cokimbia.
1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 That the Secretary of War, in conjmiction with the Commis-
4 sioners of the District of Columbia, be, and he is hereby,
5 authorized and directed to transfer and deliver forthwith to
6 the Xancy Hanks Lincoln Burial Ground Conamission, of
7 the State of Indiana, or its duly accredited agents, the
8 pedestrian statue of Abraham Lincoln which formerly stood
9 on the site in front of the com^thouse in the City of Wash-
10 ington, in the District of Columbia, to be by said commis-
11 sion reerected in or about the TsTancy Hanks Lincoln Burial
12 Grounds, in Spencer County, Indiana, no disposition of said
13 statue having been provided for other than is authorized in
1 this Act: Provided, That the United States shall he at no
2 expense in connection with the transportation, erection, and
3 maintenance of said statue.
