IN HER OWN WORDS

"My favorite activity
with MCA was the Multi-
cultural Festival. We get
to show so many diverse
cultures and differences
in the campus. The danc-
ing and talent portions
impressed me most. It
was great to see the
backgrounds, talents, and
clothes of others."

IN HIS OWN WORDS

"PackRat is a great new
program for recycling
usable items such as
books, tables, lamps, and
clothes. We filled two
moving trucks with
material that otherwise
would have been thrown
away. Students were also

DID YOU KNOW?

AED, or Alpha Epsilon
Delta, was not simply a
pre-medical honorary. It
was an organization for
students interested in
health-related professions
such as nursing, dentistry,
or physical therapy. This
pre-health honorary
required initiates to have
a 3.0 GPA overall and to
be enrolled in pre-health
classes.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

"The best place in Olin is
Olin 255, the one with
the greenhouse. I have
most of my classes there,
so I have become used to
it. I also have a lot of
memories of studying
late in that room. The
worst is Olin 120. I hate
the classroom feeling."

"The cheerleading program improved a great deal
this year and became a better organization to be a
part of. We had a new attitude, new uniforms,
talented athletes and effective leadership.
Everything finally came together, and it was a real
treat for the seniors who had watched the squad
grow to see it make so much progress."
Maria Anzola, Kathleen Garrett, and Erin Powell

"Millsaps soccer is a lot of hard
work, but it is also a lot of fun.
Our coach certainly pushes us
and makes us work hard. It is
especially rewarding when
everyone works together to win.
We play best when we are more
disciplined and react off of each
other well."

Newcomer CORRINNE PORR led the Lady Majors
throughout the season. Completing the
Homecoming 5K with a time of 22:01, she
finished first among the team.

ARTEM and ALEKSEY MASHNITSKIY provided the
team with a friendly rivalry. Both outstanding
runners, they finished many of the meets of their
last season within seconds of each other.

To help cover costs, the team participated in a 15
mile run-a-thon. With pledgers often donating
over a dollar a mile, the team was able to raise
over one thousand dollars. The profits were not
only seen in the money raised but in the
experience and endurance the runners gained.

In the end, it is single moments frozen
in time that create the turning points

that change us forever.
