PRESIDENT
Dr. James Work
DELAWARE VALLEY COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE
DOYLESTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA
To Members of the Class of 1969
A few final words before you leave us as college men. An
expression of the hope that you will be properly concerned with
the good of your fellow man, with the welfare of our institution,
and that you will become really involved in the many serious and
vital things which are happening around you today.
Too great emphasis is being placed upon personal rights and
not enough on personal responsibilities. When so-called personal
rights and so-called academic freedom are used as excuses for
the happenings today in the streets and on the campuses, and, in
fact, become synonymous with a lack of patriotism and a defianc<
of law and decency, then you who have had presented to you here
teachings which I hope have instilled in you a sense of honor, a
sense of duty, and a respect for discipline, have placed upon you
a responsibility to become deeply involved in these happenings.
Too many people, and I am afraid too many college
administrators, have taken the easy road of non- involvement.
You cannot take this road. You must work and work hard, within
the law, for a better society for everyone, including the
disadvantaged. That means involvement. Non -involvement should
be a bad word to you, as it is to me.
May God bless and keep you all, with a special prayer for
those who step right from this campus to the Armed Forces.
Sincerely,
DEDICATION TO:
Ned A. Linta
The Class of 1969 would like to dedicate its yearbook, the Cornuco-
pia, to Ned A. Linta, an individual who has dedicated himself to Dela-
ware Valley College.
As our athletic director, Ned has initiated and developed our inter-
collegiate athletic program to such an extent that we have gained the
respect and fear of other colleges and universities. This man has de-
voted all of his efforts to "one color — green and gold."
We are proud to have the opportunity and pleasure to pay tribute,
through our yearbook, to a man who has more than deserved it.
Thank-you, Ned.

DELAWARE VALLEY COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE
DOYLESTOWN. PENNSYLVANIA
March U, 1969
Class of 1969
As leaders of tomorrow you have completed four
years of apprenticeship of life. You have grown sturdy
as an oak tree and have matured from stripling to an
embending tower of strength.
Your growth, both mentally and physically is
spontaneous in every expansion. Although the mind and
body that grows could not predict the times, the means,
or the mode of spontaneity. Cod enters by a private
door into every individual's life.
ReTnember your alma mater always, for it was here
at Delaware Valley College that the process of your
growth depended upon the vision and courage of those
leaders who guided your untrained minds to a full
realization of themselves and their duty in tomorrow's
world. Your future and that of those that follow are
contingent upon the conscientious devotion of such
leaders to this responsibility.
I am sure that the Class of '69 will be endowed
with intense feeling of all your accomplishments, and
you will continue your loyalty by giving your support
to Delaware Valley College by dedicating yourselves to
the many things which you may do for the benefit of those
who follow you.
I thank you for your warm respect and appreciation.
I shall cherish your association as long as I may live.
May you go through life in peace, in happiness, and in
dignity.
Sincerely, /?
Ned A. Linta

The Aggies under the direction of H. W.
Craver compiled a fine record of 6 wins and
2 losses to finish in second place in the
Northern Division of the Middle Atlantic
Conference. The team finished the season
in great fashion by winning the last four
games in a row.
Captain Ted Cottrell, John Nice, Harry
Capazolli, and Wayne Mehalick were select-
ed to the past season M.A.C. All-Star Team.
Football reached a new height when two
members of the team were chosen by pro-
fessional football teams. Ted Cottrell was
selected in the seventh round of the N.F.L.-
A.F.L. draft by the Atlanta Falcons and John
Nice was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This year's graduating class includes
fourteen members of the football team who
will be missed tremendously next year.

Smith. Ralph White, Gary Schade, Louis Varga, Daniel Guers. Ass't
Coach Frank Wolfgang.
For the second consecutive season the Ag-
gie hoopsters, under Coach John Silan, were
involved in the M.A.C. post season playofts.
Compiling a record of 13-8, the Aggie basket-
ball team continued to make their presence
felt and gam the respect that they so well
deserve.
All-Star center Don Sechler continued his
domination of scoring and rebounding. Se-
niors Bill Eisel, who joined the 1.000 Point
Club, Captain Ken Schoenberg, and Mars Sei-
ferth, finished fine careers for the Aggies.
With a fine nucleus of underclassmen re-
turning next year, the basketball prospects for
the future look very bright. Players like Bob
McEntee, Ralph White, and Gary Schade
should continue their fine play and help the
team continue their great play and high stand-
ingin the M.A.C.

Wilkes
42
The wrestlers had their ups and
downs, barely losing to Lycoming, 15-
12. who defeated Wilkes. But then they
traveled to the Colonels' den and got
clobbered by the number five team in
the country. 42-0.
In the tournament at Muhlenberg.
Steve Burnett (145) made it to the fi-
nals before bowing to Dennis Verzera
of Wilkes. Stan Lapetz (130) lost a
heartbreaker in the semis, a 2-1 over-
time decision. And Captain Everett
Chamberlain (177) was eliminated in
the semis when his opponent, last
year's champion of his class, scored
with ten seconds to go in the bout and
won, 5-4. Chamberlain, certainly one
of the finest wrestlers in the M-A-C,
ended his season with a 10-1 mark and
his career with a gaudy 26-4 dual meet
log.
The Aggies, by the way. finished
seventh as a team in the competition
which includes the University Division
as well.

This years Student Government was possibly
the finest in the history of D.V.C. It was success-
ful in bringing about numerous changes which
benefited both the student body and the college.
These changes included revisions in the dress
code, a trial period for an "open door policy",
and improvement of the dining hall and meals.
The Student Government meetings were attend-
ed by more students and the new progressive
D.V.C. began its emergence.

A career with Registered Holsteins offers greater opportunity for success. Here is a career with built-in services
to help you reach your goals. Each Registered Holstein dairyman has the Pennsylvania Holstein Association, 5,000
members strong and the Holstein-Friesian Association of America, nearly 30,000 active members strong, helping
to make the certificate of registry mean more year after year.
