Parent's Day

Parent's Day is a time when family and friends get together to enjoy the many
events that make the day a memorable one.

Homecoming _

The Homecoming 1982 events start-
ed on Friday night with a pep rally.
Bruno helped to make the rally a spe-
cial one with his lively spirit that really
got the crowd jumping. The highpoint
of the evening occurred when Janice
Saluski of the Floral Society was
crowned the 1983 Homecoming Queen.

After the rally a late night float and
spirit car building ended with all anx-
iously awaiting the parade. Saturday
morning found many lining the streets
of Doylestown to see the parade, lead
by Grand Marshall Joe Pellegrino of
channel 10 News. At the game he re-
crowned Janice as Homecoming
Queen and presented her with a bo-
quet, of roses. Block and Bridle won
the float competition and Floral Soci-
ety won the Spirit car competition. A
great time was had by all!

Campus Life

The windows are always open to the
many activities that campus life of-
fers. There are movies, dances, con-
certs, and other special events. Dorm
life provides the campus people with a
home and many friends and events
that help to make college life a memo-
rable experience.

A-Day

A-Day is a fun time for the entire
family. It provides a host of special
outdoor activities as well as indoor
events for an enjoyable weekend. This
year's students did an outstanding job
in making the weekend fantastic.

Each year at A-Day all of the clubs
are represented with a senior girl as
their A-Day Queen nominee. This
years winner was Kathy Dell who re-
presented the Dairy Society. Con-
gratulations to all who participated
and to everyone involved in the A-Day
weekend activities.

53/A-Day

There is a small group of students who are
dedicated to covering the whole year of events
at DVC and then composing the Cornucopia.
The staff is comprised of students who take
the photos, write the copy, create the layouts,
and handle the business. The making of the
yearbook is a challenge and those who make
the year happen are to be congratulated.

Men's Cross
Country

Even with the loss of four senior lettermen from last year's
team, the 1982 Edition of the DVC Men's Cross Country Team
still turned in a credible performance. Led by Co-Captain Ed
Kuri, '84, who was voted the Most Valuable Harrier Award,
the Aggie thinclads registered 7 wins in 16 dual meets.

The highlight for the Men's Team was their 8th place finish
amongst the many teams entered in the MAC Championship
Meet. Unlike the 82 team's 8th place finish which was due
mainly to that team's placing two men amongst the top ten
finishers, this year's team managed to place no one in the top
ten, but it did place four men in the top 50. In the process,
they were also able to defeat three of the teams that had
beaten them during the regular dual meet season.

Other letter winners in addition to Ed Kuri, were Senior
Co-Captain Rich Weaver, Freshman Ken McDaid and Jeppe
Christainsen, andSophomore Gary Kampmeyer. Also showing
promise and scoring in a number of meets were Junior Scott
Harrison, Sophomore Marty Kudlesky, and Freshman Tom
Nelson.

Agronomy

To The 1983 Graduating Class

On behalf of the Agronomy Depart-
ment, I am extending to you our sin-
cerest congratulations!

You have successfully completed
four years of college work at Delaware
Valley College and are about to enter a
career in your chosen field. From now
on you will be on your own, and how
well you will succeed depends more
than ever on you, and you alone. If past
experience with our graduates is any
indication, we do not have any doubts
whatever that you will do well in your
future endeavors and will carry the
good name of our College in the high
tradition of our Aggies.

Again, best wishes and good luck to
all of you from all of us in the Agron-
omy Department.

Julian Prudeanu
Chairman

Business Administration

George F. West/Dept. Chairman

To The Business Administration
Class of 1983:

Nothing is constant but change. The
future holds many changes with which
we all must cope. For the past four
years you have been preparing your-
selves for what is now to begin. Now
the foundations of concepts and the-
ories which you have learned will be
put to use in business and industry.
You have tried out much of your train-
ing in the classroom) now you must
engage the "real world". How you use
the tools you have acquired makes the
difference between progress for hu-
mankind or a lack of advance, which
none of us can afford. You do make the
difference) it's your challenge and re-
sponsibility. Good luckl

Sincerely,

George F. West

Chemistry

To the Chemistry Graduates of 1983.

Success m life is due to a combina-
tion of factors. Motivation, concern
for others, commitment to worthwhile
goals, and confidence represent only
part of the equation. Because success
depends on you and your willingness
to do something extra and to go the
extra mile. The Chemistry Faculty and
I are proud of your achievements and
we congratulate you on the successful
completion of this phase of your

Ornamental
Horticulture

As I gaze into the pools of time. I see
a vivid reflection of Delaware Valley
College's Ornamental Horticulture pro-
gram. Pleasant memories mingle with
my excitement m anticipation of the
future. Delaware Valley College Orna-
mental Horticuture has always been
synonymous with practical knowledge
and professionalism and the class of
1983 IS the latest standard bearer of
this proud heritage.

The future of Del Val Ornamental
Horticulture can be as great or greater
than Its past, and the future is already
unfolding. New garden areas, a revital-
ized campus landscape, a production
nursery, an Ornamental Horticulture
laboratory building, new courses and
programs, and other exciting improve-
ments are begining to crystallize into
reality. You were. are. and will be part
of this continuing evolution of the Col-
lege and Ornamental Horticulture. The
Class of 1983 is one of the finest this
College has produced. You can be justi-
fiably proud of your accomplishments.

There is no way to summarize four years
of memories without eliminating many of
them, I refuse to eliminate any. There is
no need to list friends, they know who
they are. Each of mine know how impor-
tant they are and how much I love them.
There is a need though to say thanks to all
those who helped me and were always
there. A very special thanks to my family.

lilllAIMXinilA TORO ai

LANDISVILLE ROAD 8- STONY LANE
DOYLESTOWN, PA 18901

It mows a swath 12 inches wide so we call
it Groundmaster 73. It also drives a two-
stage rotary snow plow (there's a cab. too)
or a 60-inch rotary broom - to cut equipment
investment cost, maintenance cost, and
save storage space.

It's powered by an in-line 4-cylinder wa-
ter-cooled industrial engine mounted in the
rear.

It's driven through a hydrostatic system
that's simple, silent and dependable. No
belts, no chains in the power unit.

Its speed is infinitely variable from 0 to 10
mph - with instant forward-reverse.

It's operated from a seat that puts the
operator up front over the free-floating
mower unit.

It's engineered for ease of maintenance -
simple and clean.

It's built like a truck and handles like a toy.

It offers capacity, capability and durabil-
ity equal to no other riding rotary.

It's built by the Toro Company - and
backed by Toro parts and service system.

more things change,
the more they remain

the same, (isn't that reassuring?)

In Bucks County some things never change. The latest in
computer technology, the newest communication break-
throughs, and tomorrow's energy sources are keeping
Bucks County Bank and Trust Company in pace with the
world. But they're not changing our basic way of life. We

still value hard work, respect quality and natural beauty,
and have a willingness to lend a helping hand.

At Bucks County Bank we share the
special way of life that is Bucks County.
We're home grown and we make it our
business to serve Bucks County people.
At Bucks County Bank you'll find quality, inno-
vation and service. Some things never change.

To Mrs. Sangston and Mrs. Powell, Thanks for your support and interest in the book. A special thanks for listening to my
problems and making them seem not so bad. Mr. O'Brien for helping me to meet by deadlines, I couldn't have done it
without you.

Mr. Sauer, To you a thank you is not enough. There are many times when without you being there I would have given up.
You were there to listen to my troubles and were always ready to help. THANK YOUII

To my friends thanks for listening and putting up with me and yearbook. At times when I was down you guys made me
feel a lot better.

To my Mom and Dad I thank you for your support and guidance you gave me especially this year. Thanks for caring and
understanding.

For me this has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. I've learned a lot from doing this booki it has
taught me a great deal. In a way I'm sad to see it endi but I look forward to seeing the completed work and hope that all of
you will enjoy the 1983 Cornucopia

Sincerely,
